TORONTO FC vs MONTREAL IMPACT
BMO FIELD, Toronto
June 24, 2015 (WEEK 17, MLS Game #164)
8 p.m. ET (TSN/RDS/MLS LIVE)

MLS Rivalry Week kicks off with a clash for Canadian pride, as Toronto FC and the Montréal Impact meet for the first time this season in league play on Wednesday evening at BMO Field. The teams have met every year in the Canadian Championship, the Impact earlier this year advancing in a semifinal encounter. TFC come into the game after having their three-game league winning streak put to an end in a 2-0 home loss to New York City FC last weekend, while the Impact rebounded for a 2-0 win against Orlando City SC at Stade Saputo.

  • Toronto FC had their club-record three-game winning streak put to an end, falling 2-0 to New York City FC on Saturday evening at BMO Field. They were shut out at the attacking end for the first time in a league game since March 14.
  • The Impact have won four consecutive league games at Stade Saputo and five times in the last seven MLS matches overall, following their 2-0 win against Orlando City SC on Saturday evening.
  • The teams are meeting for the first time this season in league play, but they did meet in the Canadian Championship semifinals. After a 1-0 Impact victory at Stade Saputo on May 6, TFC took a 3-2 victory at BMO Field a week later, but the Impact still advanced on away goals.
  • The teams have met in every season they’ve been together in MLS in the Canadian Championship, with the Impact winning the series on three out of four occasions, including the championship tie in 2014.
  • Since coming to MLS, the Impact have not won in Toronto, with four losses and four draws in eight meetings in all competitions at BMO Field.
