Major League Soccer has announced two schedule changes for Sunday's games, with the clash between San Jose Earthquakes and LAFC being postponed and the match between Sporting Kansas City and Minnesota United canceled.

LAFC announced earlier this week that three players had tested positive for COVID-19 and, while the remaining players and staff have continued to test negative, the decision was made to postpone the match out of an abundance of caution. A decision has yet to be made whether the game will be rescheduled before Decision Day presented by AT&T on Nov. 8.

The decision to cancel the game between Sporting KC and Minnesota United was taken after a second Minnesota player was confirmed positive on Saturday following the announcement that a player had tested positive on Wednesday. The game will not be rescheduled due to a lack of available dates prior to Decision Day.

The league announced on Thursday that, as multiple clubs will complete the season without playing the full 23 games, qualification for the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs and the overall standings will be determined by points per game.
