The Montreal Impact added another piece to their back line on Thursday, signing 21-year-old Argentine center back Victor Cabrera on loan from River Plate for the 2015 season.
A graduate of the River Plate academy, Cabrera didn't see much first-team action in his two professional seasons with the Buenos Aires giants. He was a regular for the reserves, however, starting 13 games and playing over 1,000 minutes to help River to a first-place finish in the fall 2014 season.
