Save of the Week

Montreal Impact goalkeeper Evan Bush wins Save of the Week for second time in 2015

Quebec wins again: Bush earns SOTW after denying Tchani of golazo

The Montreal Impact cruised to a 3-0 victory over Columbus Crew SC last Saturday night, but it wasn't without the help of their goalkeeper.

With the Impact up 2-0 in the 59th minute, Crew SC midfielder Tony Tchani settled the ball 30 yards out from the Montreal goal and uncorked a shot that was booked for the top right corner. Fortunately for the Impact, Evan Bush made a leaping one-handed save that preserved the shutout.

That stop has earned Bush the MLS Save of the Week honors for the second time this season, his first nod coming back in Week 12. It also completes an Impact double, with midfielder Marco Donadel having won the AT&T Goal of the Week prize on Friday.

Bush took home 35.19 percent of this week's vote, barely beating out New England Revolution goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth, who collected 32.04 percent of the ballots.

Seattle Sounders stand-in Troy Perkins finished third with 15.26 percent of the vote. The Houston Dynamo's Tyler Deric and Chicago Fire 'keeper Sean Johnson finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
