Minnesota United celebrate with "Wonderwall" after booking MLS is Back Tournament semifinal spot

Loons celebrate semifinal berth with multiple Wonderwalls

Minnesota United - Wonderwall at MLS is Back - THUMB ONLY

Everyone’s singing “Wonderwall.”

Minnesota United shared several posts on social media after their 4-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night, having booked a spot in the MLS is Back Tournament semifinals.

Even without the Allianz Field faithful, head coach Adrian Heath’s bunch was in full chorus. Odds are the Oasis anthem was heard ‘round the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

The Loons even channeled the “Star Wars” intro, setting the scene with lyrics from their favorite song.

The Loons, who are on an upward rise the last two seasons, are two games away from lifting their first trophy in MLS. They lost in the U.S. Open Cup final in 2019, and now face Orlando City this coming Thursday (8 pm ET | ESPN2, ESPN Deportes in US; TSN, TVA Sports 2 in Canada).

Minnesota have continued these festivities despite not being in front of their fans, also bursting into song after their PK win over Columbus Crew SC in the Round of 16.
