We now know the man in the middle for Sunday's championship bout.


Referee Jair Marrufo has been will lead the officiating crewmanaging the MLS Cup final between the Portland Timbers and Columbus Crew SC (4 pm ET, ESPN | UniMas | TSN | RDS ). Marrufo will be joined at a sold-out MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, by: Peter Manikowski (Assistant Referee 1), Corey Parker (Assistant Referee 2) and Chris Penso (fourth official). James Conlee is the fifth official.


Marrufo has officiated one Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs match thus far, as he blew the whistle in the Western Conference Knockout Round clash between the Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy. He also was in charge of 19 MLS regular-season games in 2015, calling 421 fouls while dishing out 53 yellow cards and three reds.
