Inter Miami forward Juan Agudelo nets first goal at MLS is Back Tournament

Juan Agudelo - Inter Miami - tight shot

The MLS is Back Tournament has its first goal.

Inter Miami forward Juan Agudelo made good on a first-half miss, turning home from six yards to give the expansion club a 1-0 lead in the 47th minute over Orlando City on Wednesday night. Agudelo peeled off a defenderā€™s shoulder at the back post, one-timing a low cross from midfielder Victor Ulloa across the face of goal.

The goal marked Agudeloā€™s first goal for Miami since being acquired this past offseason via trade, having spent the last five years with the New England Revolution.

Agudelo, who awaits a bigger role after No. 1 SuperDraft pick Robbie Robinson withdrew from the tournament due to personal reasons, got the start at center forward over Julian Carranza. He made amends, too, after missing a left-footed sitter in the 9th minute after Pellegrini crossed from the left.
