This week's entrants into "MLS Shots of the Week":

D.C. United fans have apparently assumed the motivational role of head coach Ben Olsen. D.C. had that "90-minute mentality" on Saturday against the Earthquakes.

Chicago fans turned out in great numbers — for the Fire's game in Columbus — on Saturday. They were rewarded with a 2-1 victory.

Mike Magee is so on point right now that he cared not one bit about the wild challenge coming in from the Crew's Matias Sanchez. Three points, Fire.

Kyle Beckerman is a gamer. In the big games — like Saturday's playoff battle against the Sounders — he shows up, and Real Salt Lake went top of the league all by themselves for 24 hours.

This ball was just out of reach for Kofi Sarkodie, as was a goal and three points for the Dynamo against Toronto FC on Saturday night.

You can debate whether CJ Sapong's red card was warranted or not, but you can't debate it played a role in what happened late in the game and stoppage time.

Conor Casey — still scoring goals with that big, bald, beautiful head of his. The Union thumped the Red Bulls on Sunday, 3-0.

The Timbers did something not many have been able to do this year — beat Clint Irwin. They did so early and often on Sunday, en route to a 3-0 drubbing of the Rapids.

You wouldn't know it from the moments immediately following, but it was actually Will Johnson — not Rodney Wallace — who scored the absolute golazo moments before taking a tumble under the celebrating Wallace.

Gyasi Zardes will probably score a few more goals in his career, but few headers will be better than his Sunday effort, the second MLS goal in his young career.
