Both teams having secured berths in the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs, FC Dallas and the Vancouver Whitecaps will meet in the back end of their home-and-home series trying to chase down homefield advantage as the clubs clash Wednesday evening at Toyota Stadium. The teams reached a scoreless draw last week at BC Place that left the clubs separated by a single point at the top of the Western Conference, FCD leading the division ahead of the Whitecaps and the LA Galaxy and also holding a game in hand.

In their earlier meeting, on Aug. 22 in Vancouver, Cristian Techera scored the game’s lone goal to give the Whitecaps the victory.
- The Whitecaps have not lost to FC Dallas in the last three regular-season meetings between the teams, having won two games in a row before last week's draw, their first wins against FC Dallas since April 12, 2012. FC Dallas had won five of the seven intervening matches, with two draws.
