Eleven LA Galaxy II players have tested positive for COVID-19, the club confirmed to MLSsoccer.com on Thursday. Sports 1140 KHTK was the first to report the positive tests. Los Dos postponed their USL Championship match against San Diego Loyal SC on Wednesday night due to the positive tests.

Galaxy first team players have been tested twice this week and will not train again until Monday “out of an abundance of caution,” Brendan Hannan, the team’s spokesperson told the Los Angeles Times. Hannan also told the Times that the first team and Galaxy II have not mixed.

Guillermo Barros Schelotto's team returned to LA last weekend after exiting the MLS is Back Tournament following the group stage. They currently sit in last place in the Western Conference standings, with two points through five matches.

Los Dos have played three matches so far in the 2020 USL season since it restarted on July 11, winning two.
