DC United Homegrown Chris Durkin makes the leap to Europe | Youth Spotlight pres. by Target
Virginia native Chris Durkin grew up dreaming of playing for D.C. United, and that vision became reality when the talented central midfielder signed a Homegrown Player contract with the Black-and-Red in 2016. The US youth international also carried ambitions of playing overseas, however, and that possibility suddenly arrived in August, when he was sent on a year-long loan to Belgian top-flight side Sint-Truidense V.V.
